THE LEGENDS: TOURMALET
Since it first featured in the Tour de France in 1910, the Col du Tourmalet has earned a sacred status as one of the most important climbs in cycling history. That’s why it had to feature in the 2022 edition of the Haute Route Pyrenees. A bucket list climb for professionals and amateurs alike, there is no better satisfaction of tackling one of the highest paved mountain passes in the French Pyrenees. As part of our extra services, we offer an extra race bag option. An additional race bag will be transported to a pre-determined feed station during each stage in a dedicated van. This means you can pick up extra kit, your own food, or any other personal belongings you may need!
Plus, we also offer a shuttle service that will transfer you from Bordeaux Airport to Biarritz on Sunday 3rd July at 17:00 (CET) and Monday 4th July at 11:00 and 14:00 (CET). We also offer the option of a shuttle bus service Saint-Lary Soulan to Toulouse airport the day after the last stage on Sunday 10th July at 10:00 (CET) and 13:00 (CET).
Take on the challenge together and register as a team of 4-6 members! Keep each other motivated and ride like professionals!
The aim of the game: Each team will make their own strategy to get three of their riders to the finish line as fast as possible. The ranking will be based by cumulating the times of the three fastest members.
You can register as a Team by selecting the Team option directly from your customer account, on the "registration form" section of your event.
Our team of Haute Route ambassadors will be riding alongside you to support and motivate you.
