RULES
AND REGULATIONS
When you registered for the Haute Route Ventoux, you accepted the rules and regulations that govern all of our events. If you've not yet read them in full, we recommend you familiarise yourself with these rules before to arriving on registration day.
There is so much more to the Haute Route experience than just turning up for the event, so we've created a special Manual to outline all the information you'll need to make the most of your Haute Route experience and reach new heights. On top of this guide, you will receive your Riders' Roadbook two weeks before the event with detailed information about each stage.
If you don't want to transport your bike or would like a different model for the Ventoux, you can rent it for the Haute Route.
France Bike Rentals (FBR) provide a top-spec bike rental service during the event. Pick up your bike directly at the start village on Registration Day and return it at the end of the race. Rental bikes come with a complete check-up and new tyres. Concierge services (daily bike wash and service) are included in the rental price.
Please be aware that this offer has limited availability, so we encourage you to book now on your customer account. Any questions? Don't hesitate to contact our Participant Relations Team.
Plan this trip of a lifetime with your loved ones and let them be part of the Haute Route experience. Download the Friends & Family guide to find out about the best activities in Bedoin.
Xendurance is a sports nutrition company based in the UK that operates all across Europe. It specialises in endurance sports, including cycling, and are passionate about helping athletes achieve their goals. The products use only the highest quality ingredients and are scientifically proven to be as effective as possible.
The team's flagship product is a lactic acid buffer. These tablets are used by professional athletes right across the globe and are clinically proven to reduce the effect of lactic acid on the body, meaning you can push harder for longer in your training and racing. They are also proven to dramatically help in recovery rates and have been tested in two double-blind placebo, gold standard, independent studies. To find out more about our products please visit the Xendurance wesbite or check out the HR nutrition guide.
Staying hydrated is crucial if you want to perform at your best during an Haute Route stage. That’s why we’ve partnered with Precision Hydration to provide you with hydration advice and electrolyte drinks that’ll help you replace what you’re losing in your sweat.
At the event, your Rider’s Pack will include a free tube of PH 1500, an extra strong electrolyte drink that’ll help you start each stage well-hydrated and aid your recovery afterwards. You’ll then be able to fill your bottle up with PH 500 (a low-calorie, hypotonic electrolyte drink) at the feed stations.
Watch the three-minute hydration briefing video the team at PH have put together for tips on how to use your electrolyte tablets.
You can take Precision Hydration's free online sweat test to get personalised hydration advice for your ride and also use the code HAUTEROUTE2020 to get 15% off electrolyte drinks for your training on their website
Last year, we went behind the scenes with some Haute Route riders to learn more about their lifestyle, their training and their Haute Route experience. Follow them before, during and after the 2019 Haute Route events to find out more about their experience and what it taught them about themselves, each other and the Haute Route.
